Policy

EduCareToons operates in line with a clear set of principles and guidelines. As the organization is run by practicing medical doctors, many of the principles mirror those set out by the GMC, MDU and BMA.

  1. All of EduCareToons’ health promotion advice is evidence-based. Information will only be approved for publishing online, once the founders are satisfied it is from a trustworthy, evidence-based source. (e.g. NICE/CKS, UpToDate, PubMed etc).

  2. EduCareToons’ health promotion is for information and education purposes only. It is not to be used as a substitute for a personalised clinical assessment and tailored medical advice from your doctor. If you are worried about any clinical signs or symptoms then please consult your registered doctor for a formal assessment.

  3. EduCareToons do not offer patient consultations, so will not respond to any personal messages about your clinical issues. Once again, please consult your registered doctor for a formal assessment.

  4. EduCareToons will not promote any medical or pharmaceutical goods/service because of a prior arranged contract or payment. Such a conflict of interests will diminish public trust in this service. Any medical treatment recommendations made, will be based solely on the doctors’ years of clinical experience.

  5. Medical doctors are not permitted to blur the boundaries between social and professional relationships, so EduCareToons have opted against providing a direct contact number/email. Any video requests or feedback can be made as comments under our social media content. Our Shop and Courses function independently, so each have their own communication policy.
